Five Tips for Windows 7 Professional

By

Customizing Microsoft Windows 7 to get the operating system of your dreams is fast and easy if you're using the Professional version. Whether you're already using Pro for years or a newbie fiddling with your new operating system, we've got you covered.
Below are five Microsoft Windows 7 enhancements and under-hyped features.

Automate Just About Any Tasks
If you're sick of doing trivial computing tasks and you're always looking for ways to save time, automation is your secret weapon.
The good news is, Microsoft Windows 7 comes with a built-in Task Scheduler that lets you automate tasks from as simple as starting a program to as complex as sending an email. What's more you don't need help from your tech-savvy friends to create a task. Simply fire up the Start menu, type "task scheduler" and enter.

Organize and Manage Files Using Libraries
Libraries is perhaps one of the best under-hyped feature built into Microsoft Windows 7. It makes searching on Windows better by organizing all of your folders according to their category. If you have different folders for videos, for instance, you can put them all in the "Videos" library for faster access.
What's good about Libraries is its deep integration with Windows Search for lighting-fast speed search. Just make sure to add each folder to the Libraries for it to get indexed and appear during your search.

Boost Productivity Using Jump Lists
Another favorite Microsoft Windows 7 feature is called "Jump Lists" and it's perfect for jumping straight into a song or file your frequently use or website you regularly visit. Jump Lists makes it easier for you to perform routine functions. It appears both on the Start menu and the taskbar when you right-click on an icon.

Automate Backup to an External Drive or a Web Location
When something unexpected happens to your computer, the worst thing that can happen is to lose all your important data. While Microsoft Windows 7 offers robust protection from hard drive failure, you can't always keep your PC safe against accidental deletions, drops, electrical shorts, and even forgetfulness.
With Windows 7, backing up happens in just three clicks. Start by selecting Windows Backup, click "Set up backup" and follow the steps in the wizard. You can either schedule an automatic backup or manually do it yourself by clicking on the "Back up now" button.

Clean Your OS and PC Peripherals
This is the most basic but often overlooked maintenance tips. It doesn't matter if you're a heavy or light PC user. Cleaning your system keeps it protected against spyware and virus and worms attacks. Delete any software that seems malicious and get rid of unwanted files that clog your PC. Windows 7 has a good Add/Uninstall Programs alternative called "Revo" and its fast and efficient. It offers a complete view of all programs you've installed than Windows does. It can also disable applications for auto-starting.
Your PC's external condition is as important is its internal environment. Routinely clean peripherals to get rid of dust. Keyboard crud can prevent you from working. Noisy fans makes using your PC annoying. Making your PC look nice both inside and outside can make you work better. Schedule a day in your week for spring cleaning, or two days in a month if you're too busy.
Maintain a worry-free and faster Microsoft Windows 7 using these five tips. Consider yourself a Windows master once you've completed all of them. There are other Windows-specific tips for running a more efficient PC. Don't forget to check them out.

Optimize Your PC System Completely With Antivirus Software

By

It may not be as slow as dial-up, but slow Internet is always a bummer, no matter what gadget you're using. Whether it's a phone, a tablet, a laptop, or even a desktop, it's always irritating to browse the Internet at a snail's pace. Oftentimes, users may blame their ISP; however, there are instances when a slow Internet connection is not the ISP's fault. Sometimes, slow Internet may actually be due to malware that has infected your computer. Times like these, there's only one solution to your slow Internet problem: Download an antivirus.
An antivirus may not be such an obvious solution to your slow Internet problem, but it actually solves quite a few computer problems that may have cropped up:
Your PC's entire software system may have slowed down in general and you didn't notice. One of the early signs of a malware infection can be detected once a user's PC slows down considerably. The first effects you may notice, however, might be a slowdown in your Internet surfing speed. You may not have noticed the slowdown in overall system performance for your computer, since you may have mistakenly attributed the slowdown to your ISP's Internet speeds. To download an antivirus may be the last option on your mind, but if your Internet surfing has slowed down considerably, maybe it's time to think about this as an option.
Some of your files have started getting corrupted, as they got infected. While malware in the form of PC "worms" are actually a thing of the past, some forms of computer malware are still capable of corrupting files. Back in the day, say, circa Windows 95 to Windows 2000, there is a class of computer malware called "worms." A computer worm has the capacity to corrupt not only system files, but also documents and output from the various computer software that a PC owner may use. Some of the files affected include Word documents, Powerpoint presentations, and even Image files. Nowadays, computer malwares are mostly spyware and trojans, malware intended to gather the user's financial information, usernames and passwords. These are intended to give hackers an entry into the PC user's system, steal their information, and possibly commit identity and credit theft against the user.
However, some types of malware still corrupt files, and some of these are even geared towards breaking the PC's OS itself.
The latter type of malware, geared at crashing the entire OS, is called "rootkit" malware. When a rootkit malware gets into your OS, it immediately embeds itself into the OS' "kernel" or the root system code, and lodges there. It actually rewrites sections of the OS' code, slowing down the system, and working towards a total breakdown of the system.
With these virulent activities of computer malware, there should be no reason for you not to get an Antivirus Protection Software.
You've opened your system, even yourself to the risk of getting hacked, even having your financial details stolen. We've outlined the risks you've taken with your system infected with computer malware, and we've pointed out that among these is the possibility of having trojans and spyware that may open you to a possible attack from hackers. Trojans and spyware tend to be "gateway" malware -- these open the door for other malware to be infused into your system, or, as we've been saying, actually open your system to a full-on hacking attack.
Bearing these in mind, by now you shouldn't hesitate to download an antivirus. Antivirus protection software will allow you to detect the presence of these malware and rid your system of these.
Now that you know the full effects of malware on your system, we hope we have urged you to download an antivirus. Beyond just finding a way to get your Internet browsing up to the optimal speed stated by your provider, we hope we've made it clear that much more is at stake -- your entire PC system. More than that, your personal, identity and credit data may be at stake as well. This should illustrate to you the urgency of installing an antivirus protection software, not only to speed up your PC and your Internet connection, but for your PC's optimal performance and even your overall data security. In the case that your system doesn't get totally cleaned of the malware, beyond installing an antivirus protection software, you may consider reformatting your computer and reinstalling the OS.

Football Manager 2013 Guide

By

Hello everyone!
I wanted to share the way I approach any team I manage and what exact steps I undertake when starting a game on football manager!
When creating yourself as a manager I would suggest being an international footballer as background if you are a beginner and automatic or Sunday league footballer if you are an expert!
After selecting a team, I go in the training menu! In the general Training section I always select very high intensity on team cohesion till the pre-season ends then high during the season. As for the match training I keep the match rest 'selected and I choose attacking movement as focus. Finally, as far as scheduling is concerned I slide towards "more match training" up three-quarters up the way. A good tip: If you struggle scoring on set pieces or you concede a lot defensively you might want to change the training focus if you wish however I have found that leaving those two intact throughout the season to be a 'winning strategy'.
After the training I move on the staff responsibilities, I usually transfer all duties apart from searching and buying players and ask my assistant manager to arrange friendlies, attend press conferences. I prefer to do team-talks and contracts renewals for both staff and players.
Review the team in detail, look at every individual and transfer list any unwanted players, a good tip is to look at the team report which identifies the key strengths and weaknesses of every team, I then assign the staff to scout the "world" and if that is not possible (as small teams are not able to do so) I assign them to the regional area.
What about tactics? Well for the tactics section, if you are a beginner I would heavily suggest going to forums like the SI official website or even FM base; they have plenty of tactics which work great and people usually help you very much! If not I usually identify my players and create a tactic in accordance to the players selecting the formation, mentality, fluidity and so on. I prefer to leave tactics as the modern version whereby you can use shouts throughout the game and thus make it more realistic than "classic tactics".
When creating a tactic from scratch - First you need to select the appropriate formation which in all cases has weaknesses and strengths for example: 4-5-1 some pros' include: Three Central Midfielders make it easier to dominate the pitch and it keeps possession better than a normal 4-4-2 however the lone striker must be very good or less the goals could be hard to come and the players need to be technically adept to hold the ball otherwise the tactic becomes useless. The second step is to select the philosophy and strategy - this is mainly in correlation with your players, for example: If your players lack mentally then a rigid or balanced philosophy works best or if your players lack pace giving them too much freedom might displace your team to a great extent and get badly hit on the counter! Finally, you will find that the strategy will follow the philosophy you choose thus if you want to play quick and swift football then an attacking strategy is the key. If you are a beginner I would leave the sliders to default as they can affect your team in a very negative way, just change the strategy if you are unhappy of the results. Finally select a target man and a playmaker if your tactic requires it or you have the players to do so.
As far as shouts is concerned, there is no general guide however it should in relation to your tactic's mentality
I hope you enjoyed my guide and if you have any questions or feedback PLEASE let me know!
David

Football Manager 2013 Review

By

Hello everyone!
I was meaning to give you a detailed review about this wonderful game! Although it is after a few hot-fixes and patches, I will give you a step-by-step analysis about the main improvements and drawbacks I incurred while playing this game.
Where to start? Well the benefits of course! The main additions which I found to be enlightening are the new main game starting modes. First of which is the 'Football Manager Classic' which is designed for players who do not have a lot of time under their sleeves and removes key features of the game and enables the player to get an instant result if they wish to do so. It contains unlockables which is a challenge in itself and I applaud SI for the great idea! The second option is the 'Challenges' where a player can undertake a challenge like save a team from relegation with a depleted squad or win the championship with 10-15 games to go and 10 points off the leader. These options give a refreshed image of football manager and I really appreciate where SI want to go with this. Although players might struggle at first to get a grasp of all the options and features of the game; it is one of my favourites of the series!
But like with everything we need to cover the negatives! Personally, although the match engine has been improved there have been shocking displays of defensive and goalkeeper errors leading to high-scoring games and recently the patch has allowed more shots to occur and this has led to "cricket" scores with big teams scoring a huge amount of goals throughout the season but also conceding a huge bunch too. Having said this, the right tactic could lead you to score many more goals than the AI but also find it very hard to get a clean sheets in the process. Another aspect which disappointed me was in regards to the training, SI removed the ability for the user to create personal training schedules and simplified the whole process which is a nice idea however I would have wanted an option to be created where the user can choose whether or not to implement the new system. SI want to make this game as realistic as they can thus want the user to use shouts implemented in the game and I have found it to be much more fun and exciting in the process because the feeling of being the "manager" is ever so present so well done SI! Finally, as far as my recommendation is concerned I would definitely recommend fm13, even though some of the bugs might be frustrating, SI is definitely in the right direction and I am sure that 2 more patches will be released in the near future making the gaming experience more rewarding.
I hope you all enjoyed my review, thank you for reading my article!

How to "Fix the Minecraft Has Run Out of Memory" Error!

By

The "Minecraft Has Run Out of Memory" error is one of the most commonly occurring in Minecraft. With the game's huge popularity it seems everybody wants to play it, even if their computer isn't up to scratch.
The memory error occurs when the amount of RAM that your computer has (or the amount that is allocated to Minecraft by your computer) is exceeded by the application itself. But don't worry, this is a lot easier to fix than it might seem!
Readers note that the recommended amount of RAM for Minecraft is 4GB, whilst the minimum amount that is specified on the Mojang website is 2GB, so if you're not up to these marks then you may experience some performance issues.
One of the quickest and easiest ways to prevent this error from reoccurring is to simply lower the Video Settings in the pause menu of Minecraft. Some of the settings which are most important are lowering the Render Distance and changing the Graphics from Fancy to Fast.
Another quick fix is to change the priority of Minecraft.exe in your task manager. The task manager can be opened by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Esc on the keyboard. From there you simply need to right click on the Minecraft.exe program and change the "Priority" setting to High. This allocates more of your PC's resources to running Minecraft, which should ultimately improve performance.
Installing 64-bit Java is another way to increase the performance of Minecraft. Java is the application within which Minecraft runs, it is therefore very important that you run the version which is applicable for your operating system. You can easily tell which operating system you are running by going into the Control Panel and then selecting "System" or "System Properties". Not only will this tell you whether your OS is 32-bit or 64-bit, but you can also tell how much RAM you have. If you have a 64-bit OS then you should download the 64-bit version of Java from Adobe's website which will allow Minecraft to run more optimally.
Our final quick and easy fix for the Minecraft Has Run Out of Memory error is to install the Optifine Mod. This is one of the most popular mods that is available for Minecraft, used to improve Minecraft's performance and reduce the load it bears on your PC. Whilst many people think that installing mods is a difficult process, the opposite is true of Optifine, with a dedicated installer being available to do all the hard work for you.
For more fixes on the Minecraft Has Run Out of Memory error then make sure to check out http://www.minecrafthasrunoutofmemory.com, the number one resource for tackling this commonly occuring issue.

Power Leveling In Diablo III

By

Discovering the best power leveling techniques in Diablo III is one thing that enables a lot of gamers have the most fun with the game as they can. Gamers who use these strategies reduce the amount of time they spend at the boring lower levels and learn to supercharge their characters to the highest level. This is where Diablo III gets exciting, with intricate arrays of skills and powers, thrilling adversaries, and magnificent rewards are aplenty. The most effective strategies can be discovered easily with only the best, high quality Diablo III guides.
The basis of just about every power leveling strategy for Diablo III is discovering the activities that produce the greatest return of experience for the time spent for any given class or level. Basically, if grinding (killing monsters repeatedly) will provide a character 500 experience per hour, performing arbitrary quests will provide that same character 800 experience per hour, and carrying out a particular set of quests will deliver you 1,000 XP per hour, the latter choice is the quickest and most desired alternative.
In Diablo II grinding was pretty much the only way to power level. However, with the new revamped and redevelopment of Diablo III, grinding is no longer an efficient method to gain more experience and level up faster. Gamers are better off now performing random quests, although a centered, specific approach produces a lot more rewards in terms of experience.
This is certainly an excellent design choice by Blizzard, in fact, most of the game is invested at the intermediate levels, and it truly is a lot more interesting for the gamer when they can do a variety of things and earn exciting prizes in the process instead of simply beating the identical group of adversaries constantly. Nevertheless, it certainly does make power leveling much more challenging.
Although you could figure out the appropriate sequence of quests to take to be able to speed level from level 1 to level 60 on your own, it would probably take a long time. The whole point of power leveling is not to waste time, but to get to the maximum level as fast as possible.
A better solution to power leveling is to take advantage of more experienced players' knowledge. There are a number of Diablo III guides available online that can provide gamers with an in-depth, structured, quick, and dynamic path to the highest levels in the game, while earning tons of gold and gear on the way.
Find the best Diablo III guide to help you power level and experience everything Diablo III has to offer at http://www.mmo-strategy-guides.com/diablo-3-guides.html

Webcams - Easy Ways to Find the Best on the Market

By

The use of webcams has gained a high level of popularity today because many people use them to get connected with other people online. As revealed here, getting the most appropriate brand requires that you put certain factors into consideration.
Apart from the price factor which is a function of your budget, you need to define the purpose for which you would like to use the device. So, the following should be carefully considered before you shop for a brand online:

Function
If you only need the webcam to have video calls with your family and friends, you might opt for an HD webcam, if only you like to have a great video-call experience. Such a webcam offers a better video-capturing experience which is more suited to the lifestyle of those who want to make the most out of their webcams. In that case, HD webcams can be used to record and post video footage for online use.

Placement
Furthermore, webcams come in various designs, and your choice of a particular one depends on where you want to use it. Some are suitable for clipping onto your netbook or laptop while some can be attached atop your monitor, they can be placed on a desk.

Resolution
The resolutions of most webcams fall within the range of 320 x 240 and 640 x 480. High-definition webcams have resolutions up to 1280 x 720; some can even record in 1080p.

Frame
Your chosen brand should have a good frame rate. This determines the speed with which it can capture and play films. Most webcams come with in-built capacity for 30 frames per second; some even have higher frame rates.

Lens
Consider the lens too. Typically, a glass lens is better than a plastic lens. The former offers a better picture quality. Some high quality lenses even offer zoom functionality.

USB
It's advisable to buy a web camera that comes with USB 2.0, rather than those that support USB 1.1. The capture rate and the resolution of USB 1.1 are quite low, and you won't have the best results.
Lastly, you should note that certain applications for video call or conference automatically cap the frame rate. If you buy a HD web camera, ensure that you use software which allows HD videos. However, it's worth stating that almost all webcams come with video conferencing applications such as Skype, AOL Instant Messenger and Microsoft Live Messenger. You may even find some brands that have applications for taking pictures, editing videos, and for carrying out other multimedia functions.
For available options of webcams of great quality, visit chinabuye.com now - a leading web store where you can buy cheap gadgets at affordable rates. Free shipping is available for your purchases.

The highly anticipated next iteration of the Call of Duty franchise, Black Ops 2 we demoed today at Gamescom in Germany, and streamed live over the internet and Xbox Live to the world. Not only did Treyarch and team show off what looks to be an awesome addition to an addicting franchise, but they introduced multiple new features and game play modes that will be available in Black Ops 2.
A great update to the game is that now up to 18 players can play all the time instead of just in ground war!

First Impressions of Gameplay Footage:
Fluid, that's the first thing that comes to mind. The game play looks smooth and seamless, from the main user interaction to the surrounding elements everything seems very polished and ready to go. The environments look familiar, which is to be expected, but the maps are what make the multiplayer, and these new maps are different and look awesome.
This game will certainly scratch the itch that fans of the franchise have. It keeps the familiar feel and elements that make the game successful and loved by players. Because it's a Black Ops 2 game, it brings back diving, which we've all missed! They've added new weapons, new perks, new attachments and updated character models and movements. These all add to the updated and refreshed feeling of the game that will get you hooked back in to the franchise if you've drifted away to say, Battlefield 3?

Newly Announced Features:
Multi-Team Team Death Match - six teams increases the level of carnage within Call of Duty. Players can pick six different factions to play as and team up against up to 18 players in these mosh pit style games. Communication is important here, with this level of mayhem you have to stick together and call out enemies or else your team is going to lose.
Hard Point - Similar to king of the hill or headquarters, teams have to defend specific areas within a map to earn points. The location changes and teams have to move to recover the position.
COD-casting - a way to share your game with viewers, adding to the entertainment level of the game. One of the things that Treyarch has said that they want to do is increase the competition and "sport" of playing COD. COD casting adds a way to save games and share them out into the world along with adding in color commentary. This is something that is certainly going to make a big push on YouTube because one large source of videos is gameplay tips and tricks, this will certainly make these types of videos easier to put together.
Live Streaming - Yes live streaming, it's exactly what you think it is, you can stream gameplay live to other viewers.
Target Finder - A weapon attachment that helps you identify targets at a distance. Cheap yes, useful of course!
League Play - A new gameplay type that pits you against equally skilled players to level the field and increase the competition level. You're playing against people who are as good or as bad as you.
Perk Combinations - not exactly new but they are enhanced now and the combination system is improved.

How to Avoid Getting Tired While Playing Online Games

Sometimes you just need to game. Playing online games is fun, that's why you do it. On occasion you might have one reason or another to stay up later than usual to do a certain goal in an online game. Maybe you're trying to level up, or beat a quest, or make it through a certain round. Or maybe you just found a website absolutely full of really cool games online. Regardless of your reasons, it can take a little more than the rush of gaming to keep you awake to do your goals. Luckily, there are some ways you can avoid getting tired while playing online games. These are tips that go beyond just power slamming some energy drinks. With caffeine there is an eventual crash, and usually a hard one; hopefully the methods introduced to you here will avoid that to a point. These are methods of staying awake that stimulate you more naturally and not artificially.
Something a lot of people underestimate is the power smell has over our bodies. You can actually use your sense of smell to avoid getting tired while playing online video games. Taking a quick sniff of a strong smell can shock you awake. Sometimes burning incense of energizing aroma in addition to some of the other tips that will be mentioned in this article can help make a more desired result. Smells like Eucalyptus Blue Gum, Peppermint, Pine Oil, Coffee, and Rosemary can help stimulate your body and keep you awake and energized for longer. Worst-case scenario, if you can't find any of those things to sniff around the house you can take a light sniff of pepper powder. Make sure you do this cautiously if you're going to, everyone knows what happens if you snort up pepper. It gets sort of difficult to play cool games online if you can't stop sneezing.
Another way to avoid getting tired while playing online games is to keep the room well-lit. This may go against your normal gaming routine, but exposing your body to brighter lighting tricks it into thinking that it's still daytime. Although you eyes will hate you, if you're really intending on trying to stay awake it's fairly crucial that you not hide in a dark room while gaming. You don't necessarily have to blind yourself, but the more well-lit the room you're gaming in is, the less likely you are to doze off. Other changes to your usual gaming routine that can help you avoid getting tired while gaming are keeping the room's temperature low and keeping yourself slightly uncomfortable; it wont make you happy, but it will keep you from feeling sleepy while you're playing some cool online games.
One way to avoid getting tired while playing cool games online that you might not hate so much is listening to high tempo music. Sometimes the mellow background music they put to the game can lull you into sleep faster. Try turning the background music for the game off and swapping it out for some techno, heavy metal or whatever high energy tunes you want. The bouncy music helps stimulate the brain and prevents it from getting tired. This means more game time for you, and bad news for those in-game enemies. There's probably a dozen or so other ways you can keep yourself awake to game; power naps, exercise breaks, and avoiding large snacking sessions can also help. Although you should always keep it in mind that sleep deprivation poses some health risks. Your body needs sleep for a reason, so try not to make it a habit of pulling all night gaming binges. But for those occasions where you just can't help it, hopefully these tips can help you reach your personal gaming goals!

The Far Cry 3 game is quite different from its original version. There are new features, characters and setting as well. This game revolves around the theme of insanity. It has been viewed as the best game in this category. The characters in this game try to emulate Jason Brody who goes out with his family and allies for an adventure. The Jason's are captured by slave merchants and held in a treacherous island.
This game becomes interesting as you continue playing it. This is because it entails terrible vengeance and personal innovation. It has an undisputed line of violence. It ensures that players are not discouraged to watch or play this game with its attractive motions. This game is set up in a tropical environment with dense flora inhabited by fauna.

In this game, the characters are able to use various weapons to fight their enemies. The characters are able to make and install hidden traps with grenades on them. This ensures that the game is enjoyable and brings out some sense in it. They can as well burn the trees and confuse their enemies by throwing rock pebbles. The pebbles are thrown in the bushes in a particular direction to confuse their enemies. This makes the enemies not determine the direction they are coming from.

Weapons

The players have to buy the weapons to use from the available shops and weapon stores. This makes the game incredible and real. The buying of weapons in this game becomes realistic to many game lovers. Therefore, the characters must sell animal skins in order to get money for buying the weapons. They can as well use the available maps which direct them to the weapons stores. The weapons are accurately used in taking down the opponents. The characters are able to use a good number of weapons like suppressors, bows and arrows and the wide distance scopes. The use of silencers just takes it all. This is because the player is able to make a kill without being noticed. Remember that Brody's dagger is also one wonderful tool to use.

Since the tools are customized, you are able to use numerous combinations to attack. You can use a bow and arrow with complete fire arrows and customized grenades. This ensures that the enemies are killed in large numbers. The players can also make their guy to hide in the bushes and sneak in order to make a kill. This tactic catches the enemies off- guard. This game also enables players to build their experience as they play this game. The Far Cry 3 game is seen as a unique version of the Far Cry games. It ensures effective movement of the characters as compared to the previous versions. You can customize the weapons in the game in case they are not customized. This is one among several features and attributes of the Far Cry 3 game. This game also has ensured that players get to know the skills required for a particular fight. Players are able to destroy their enemies as silent killers using appropriate tactics. This can be achieved by using hiding techniques. The players have to hide in the above trees. This enables them to kill the enemies from above unexpectedly.

Conclusion

Therefore, you cannot afford to miss this incredible shooter game involving a series of killings. This game is rated highly and many game lovers are waiting for its release soon. Its release is set for December 4, 2012 for Personal Computers, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3

Total War: Shogun 2 - Fall Of The Samurai

By

Suddenly, I'm observing an increasingly chaotic battlefield from a spot just above and behind a single wheeled machinegun. Slap-bang in the center of the screen is a crosshair. Left mouse button depressed, I drag this reticule along a line of charging spearmen. Targets are knocked off their feet, flicked like puppets into unnatural poses, sent twirling to the turf. When the smoke clears, an entire enemy unit has been blown away.

Directly controllable artillery isn't Fall of the Samurai's most significant feature, but it's probably its most irresistible and surprising. Nailing far-off commanders is deliberately difficult through. The camera accompanies larger projectiles, but there's no sniper style zoom view. While there'll be occasions in FotS when you get to mow down of samurai with machine guns, Creative Assembly is too serious about their history for it to be a regular occurrence. Despite the cinematic Last Samurai overtones, the game's primary focus is the Boshin War (1868-1869) rather than the ill-fated Satsuma Rebellion (1877) that inspired much of the 2003 Tom cruise movie.

Both sides in this low-key civil war were enthusiastic modernizers, eager to lay their hands on the latest Western military tech and strategy. In other tweak, clicking the "end turn" button now advances your campaign a mere two weeks. With winters now lasting six turns, ponderous or ill-timed invasions will be costlier than ever.

Naval blazing
Longer cold snaps aren't the only new feature the humble Total War grunt has to worry about. Now the poor fools who do all the heavy trigger-pulling and sword-slashing can be slain between battles by naval bombardment. Select a friendly fleet on the campaign map and a range circle appears. Any army within this zone-o'-death may be pummeled without risk. You won't devastate targets, but hounding an invasion force as it trudges down a long coastal road could become the difference between victory and defeat in later battle.

Mark this moment. In Fall of the Samurai, Total War navies finally go from being mere amusing distractions to indispensable strategic tools. That bombardment ability can also be used to clobber cities, neutralize coastal batteries (a new buildable structure) and turn the tide in normal ground battles.

Secret servants
Unsurprisingly, given the 300-year period shift, most of the cast and rabble-rousers don't come direct from Shogun 2. Working alongside familiar Shinobi (ninjas) and Geisha are two faction-specific secret policemen-the Ishen-Shishi (Imperialist) and the massively useful Foreign Veteran.

Remember the nasty Colonel Bagley in The Samurai? That's the kind of calculating, conscience-free merc you get when you employ a foreign veteran. With one of these embedded in an army, your troops will move, reload and gain experience faster.

Games Testers

By

The video game industry is one of the highest grossing industries on the planet, with an estimated worth of around $74 Billion. Game Manufacturers are always looking for new ways to better their product that they produce for the public. The best way for them to do that is to have games testers testing their games before releasing them to the general public. If you have a passion for playing games and are looking to make an extremely decent income from doing something you are passionate about then keep reading.
You might be wondering what I am rambling on about, I myself am a video games tester and have made a career from doing something I truly love doing and I am going to share with you how I got started and what it is all about.

What are video games testers? Someone who tests games in their 'beta' stage; basically before they are released for general use. But where are the agencies? Such agencies have worked hard to become trusted by the Games Manufacturers and their main role is to introduce potential Video Games Testers. It is important to point out here that Video Games Testers start off at the same level, but only with experience and feedback can the tester grow in stature, reliability and effectiveness to command a full time career.

- Game testing is a recognized profession which many adults and teens have realized its profitability, wouldn't you rather be known as a professional games tester than a game junkie?

- These testers get their hands on games and online content that has not yet been released to the public. They make sure that there are no serious issues with the game and insure it runs smoothly. They give game Manufacturers feedback (good, bad or otherwise) on their game and tell them what they loved/ hated about that game.

- No Boss, No Noisy Alarm Clocks, and Definitely No Schedules!

You make your own decisions. There are no unrealistic deadlines and nobody telling you how much to work. You get to decide how much you work, part-time, full-time or OVERTIME. Make a better than average income doing what you want, when you want. Get out of the rat race today! You get to decide because you have the freedom of working for yourself. Games testers on average earn upwards of $2000 per month doing something they love.
If you are truly passionate about gaming and think making some extra income while playing games is a great idea and is something you could see yourself doing, then this site is definitely something you should check out: http://videogame-testing.com

Console Vs PC Gaming

By

Gaming has been a part of our culture for an extremely long time. Whether you're a casual gamer, who doesn't like all the competition of most games, or you're a hardcore gamer who enjoys games like Halo, Battlefield 3 and Call of Duty. There have been two platforms for gaming. Consoles and PC. Both are extremely different and many people have their own opinion on which is better. Well lets compare the pros and cons together shall we?

Lets start with PC gaming. PC gaming is huge. Over 4 million people are constantly online on Steam so there are a lot of PC gamers. PC games are also much cheaper. Normally a higher quality game is only $50 while on console they are $60. Not only that there are a lot of exclusive games only on PC. Most of these exclusives are only around $20 while delivering quality normally only seen in triple A titles. PC games also have more value then their console counter-parts. Most games have player made modifications that add hours of content to a game. It could be anything from more weapons to an entire side story added onto the game. Older games also tend to get a new paint job over time as players create graphic mods that enhance the graphics of the game to make it look more modern. PC gaming also tends to have a better experience. Take Battlefield 3 for example. I personally have Battlefield 3 on the Xbox 360 and it's a blast with friends, but when I play it on PC it's amazing. There is constant action which is sometimes lacking from the console version. You also have a ton of free to play games on PC. Recently Planetside 2 was released for PC. It follows up on the previous game giving players a map that makes Battlefield 3 a joke and delivering amazing quality that PC is also cost efficient, because it costs about the same as a normal home computer plus a console. In fact if you can jump on a sale for computer parts or a website that builds gaming PCs you can get one for about $700 or less! That's a lot cheaper than buying a home computer and a console since the average home computer costs about $600 and a console is about $200 or more. You're saving money already!

Many people prefer a console due to it being family friendly and user friendly. If you're going to get or use a gaming computer you need to know what makes a computer tick. However with a console there is no complex setup it's just plug and play, no need to build your computer with ordered parts or getting a bit confused with all the wires of a gaming computer. Many families also use their consoles for more than just video games. With consoles like the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 having movement games that are family friendly, you are seeing many families using these consoles as a means for the whole family to get together. People also use them as DVD players. Many people prefer to watch a movie on a 42 inch HD T.V. than a 20 inch monitor. It's also pretty easy to talk to friends while playing a game with them. For PC the only ways to chat with a friend outside of the game would be either Skype, Teamspeak or Ventrillo. Of those three options only Skype is free, but it tends to take up internet speed depending on how many people are in a Skype call. Xbox Live has a feature that I personally enjoy, the Xbox Live party. It allows up to 8 people to be in a small little chat room where they talk without being in the same game or game lobby. It's a very useful feature when you want to talk to your friends while you both play different games. Consoles also tend to automatically be organized. With a computer you have to make sure that all your icons are in order or have folders to hold what you need, but with a console everything is set up in sections and tiles so everything is organized. With the amount of exclusives on PC, there are a few exclusive games on console that always make PC gamers think about getting a console. I prefer the exclusive games on Xbox 360 such as Gears of War or Halo. One of my long term favorite game series is Fable. The first and third are on PC also but the second one is only on Xbox 360. One game that was unknown was Metro 2033. It is an Xbox 360 and PC exclusive. It may be on the PC but it's PC players will tell you that you need a pretty good computer to run that game, so it's easier to play on console. A console can be used for so many things both for the hardcore gamer to the casual family gamer.

It's hard for one to choose whether they should get a gaming computer or a console. People who are tech savvy tend to go with a gaming computer since they know what they are doing and can fix anything that happens. Others who are not as tech savvy stick with consoles since they require little to no maintenance and have a quick setup. It's hard to choose which is better but considering how in the long run a gaming computer saves you money, a gaming computer is the best choice. You can save a lot more money on a gaming computer since games are cheaper and there are free-to-play games out there. You also save money by not having to buy a home computer if you buy a console. In the end PC is the better choice over console.

The Best Windows Keyword Board Shortcuts

By

Windows keyboard shortcuts can be a real time saver, so I've collected together the best ones that I use all the time. Now let's speed up how you work and wow your friends just by pressing two keys together at the same time!

Personally, I blame the lack of keyboard shortcut awareness on the Mouse. Highlighting, right clicking, copying and pasting with countless clicks isn't fast or efficient, no matter how quickly you can click. Although the humble mouse did help to make computers accessible to the masses.

So while touch screen technology may well take over from the traditional clackety keyboard, it still has a few tricks up its sleeve... especially when your mouse or touch pad has stopped working and you need to navigate a screen to solve the problem!

Copy and Paste Combos
These are the keyboard shortcuts everyone learns, so if you don't know them, it's essential that you do. These will save you massive amounts of time which you'd otherwise waste highlighting, right clicking, copying, right clicking and pasting with a Mouse.

Ctrl + X will cut, transferring whatever you have selected to the clipboard and removing it from its original location.

Ctrl + C will copy whatever you have selected without removing the original, this is what I'd recommend as it's safer - if you don't want something you can always just delete it later.

Ctrl + V will paste the contents of the clipboard into the currently selected window.
The great thing about these particular commands is that they work in most applications so you can use them to move images, text or even your files and folders. Also they work between applications, so as an example you could copy a picture or text from a webpage then paste it into a document or email.

I'm also an avid user of Ctrl + S, which automatically saves whatever you've just changed in a document. In fact, I seem to do it after every small change, which is a real like saver when your PC or the program you're using crashes.

Windows Key
Located bottom left of your keyboard is the Windows Key with its familiar Windows 'panes' logo.

Press it once to launch the Start Menu and use the Cursor Keys to navigate the menus and use the Enter Key to launch applications.

Hold down the Windows Key and use the left and right Cursor Keys to scroll through the windows you currently have open.

Alternatively, hold down the Windows Key and press numbers 1 through to 9 to quickly access applications pinned to the Taskbar.

So let's say that Internet Explorer is the first shortcut pinned to your Taskbar, you could launch this by holding down the Windows Key and pressing the 1 Key.
And quickly clear everything on your screen, you can also hold down the Windows Key and press D. Simply press it again to bring everything back.

Web Browser Shortcuts
There are also some very handy keyboard shortcuts you can use when browsing the web. For example, to save you from having to click of Scrollbars with your Mouse and keep dragging it down the page, simply use the Up and Down Cursor Keys to scroll up and down the page.

Similarly, if you want to go Back to the previous page, the Backspace Key will take you there. Meanwhile Alt and the Right Cursor Key will take you forward to the next page.

If you find text on a website is too small for you to read, or too large, you can hold the CTRL Key and use the + and - Keys to shrink or enlarge the text. Just be sure to put the text back to how it was when you found it, because this change in settings could affect the text on other websites that you visit.

More Helpful Guides
These are just a few of the shortcuts you can use to speed up internet browsing and work more efficiently. They might take a little bit of practice, but once you get used to them, you'll end up using them every day. Ctrl + S to quickly save your work in particular!
